Deep in the woodlands, an ancient grove is home to the grizzly bear.
She's waited and worked her way through thousands of calories to find her way here. Her cave is well hidden and no two legs ever come here. Standing at the edge of the rise, she chuffs and tears at the ground and a nearby tree. Warning there's a bear here!
Satisfied, and with the scent of snow in the air, she eats small stones and absorbent barks. Ready to hibernate, she settles into the deep recesses and faces out. She can see the entire grove from here. Huffing and yawning, she rests her head onto her paws and waits for spring.
